Andy Hattala is the temporary pacific region organizer for The Climate Reality Project. He was born and raised in Northern California then moved to Southern California for college and his professional life. His degree in political science highlights his belief in the importance of policy in resolving the climate crisis, while his sustainability certifications highlight the role of sustainability in propelling positive change(s). He has and continues to serve on the leadership teams of the LA Chapter, SFV Chapter, and California Coalition. Andy models and incorporates sustainable practices into all facets of his private and professional life. He also speaks on a range of sustainability topics-just ask. His mantra and guiding principle: Leave everything better than you encounter it. When he is not working, he can be found thinking about sustainability, reading (political news, about sustainability, and romance novels), watching movies and television, and begrudgingly working out.
